Finish:
Every pen is polished to a high sheen and finished with pure tung oil - it is made to shine but also survive accidental drops.
Tung oil provides a waterproof, mold-resistant, resin-like barrier baked directly into the fibers of the wood. This oil has been chosen specifically because it does not detract from the natural feeling of wood on the hand, while still protecting the piece.
Fittings:
Fittings for this kit are plated in the relevant metal; current workshop testing shows limited sign of wear from everyday use until roughly the two-year mark. Please see our blog for more information on available kits, and what they mean for the durability of your purchase.

This pen uses Cross-style refills, available either on our website or from other relevant retailers.
